The Executive Director is responsible for managing the affairs of the organization by implementing and following up on the policies and resolutions of the Board and implementing the programs, plans, and projects approved by the Board.
Mr. Vilane has worked with and for the private sector, governments and various development partner organisations, including SADC, UNDP, UN, UNECA, EU and COMESA amongst others. His recent assignment with the UNDP focused on providing support towards the setting-up of the Eswatini Youth Empowerment Programme, including engagement of the private sector towards same.
He has recently concluded various national assignments, including the development of the National Policy for MSMEs in Eswatini; development of the National Investment Policy and Draft Investment & Trade Bill; development of Regulations for Citizens Economic Empowerment and the development of the national AfCFTA Implementation Strategy for Eswatini amongst others. He is also a director of the Africa Centre for International Development (ACFID), a consultancy, research and training institution, based in South Africa. He has successfully led programmes abroad for the governments of Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania and Malawi amongst others, through ACFIDI.
